Lipo-Sculpting

Lipo-sculpting involves several processes in which the doctor can assess how to use liposuction, which is the removal of fat by using a cannula and injecting it into another area of the body to give it more fullness. Doctor Bergqvist can do this in his office or in a surgery center.

The procedure often involves the need to be driven and picked up by someone you rely on.

It is not done under anesthesia but uses a local anesthetic.

Many patients will have fat removed from their inner thighs where the back of their thighs is injected into their buttocks. They may also remove fat from their stomach.

The difference is doing it in the office or in the surgery center may have to do with the amount of fat removed.

Oftentimes the lipo-sculpting procedure can be enhanced by follow-up treatments using the Velashape which is a non-invasive treatment that helps tighten skin and remove Cellulite (please see our tab under noninvasive treatments.)

Another application used at times for post-surgical lipo-sculpting, or as an alternative, maybe the Ultrashape.

Ultrashape is a very specialized fat removal noninvasive procedure. It is the “Rolls Royce” when it comes to noninvasive fat removal. Unlike Coolsculpting, we have found that Ultrashape is completely painless and does not damage the skin the elasticity, and is a safe procedure. It may be utilized in one to five visits depending on how much fat needs to be removed.
