Spider vein treatment with Perfecta V-Beam

The above conditions are treated with Perfecta V-Beam. The Perfecta V-Beam Laser is a pulsed dye laser that is used on scars, vascular malformations, spider veins, rosacea, pigmented lesions, Birthmarks, and skin tightening.  It also has applications for acne and severe warts as well. It’s non-ablative with minimal downtime. Doctor Bergqvist has been using the perfect V-Beam since he trained at Duke University and is the Gold Standard of treatment.

How does it work?

Pulsed Dye Lasers deliver an intense burst of light into the targeted area using a wavelength of light that is absorbed by blood vessels and melanin pigmented areas in the deep layers of the skin. Some results are immediate while other areas may need repeat targeting. The Physician will set the parameters that are to be calibrated for each individual application.

What should I expect After treatment?

Its recommended that you have no sun exposure throughout treatment. And use sunblock. Purpura is transient and usually disappears within days and there is little to no pain afterward. A patient may have this treatment done more than once depending on what is being treated. Different conditions require different protocol using this laser.

Does it hurt?

No anesthetics are required and you may feel a snapping sensation to a prickling sensation accompanied by a bright light. Goggles are worn by patients and Doctors as with most of our laser treatments to protect the eyes. During the treatment, the epidermis is treated with a cooling mist accompanied with each pulse.
