Breast Lift

Breast lift surgery mastopexy is done for breast ptosis, sag.

This is a procedure to lift the breast without reducing the volume.

Length of incisions is based on the amount of lift needed. Lesser lifts can be done with an incision around the nipple, but if more lift is needed a wise pattern is used.

Sometimes a breast lift and augmentation are done at the same time, particularly if fullness is needed in the upper half of the breast.

Sometimes the problem is pseudo ptosis, the breast is “bottoming out”, the nipple is at the same position but the skin between the nipple and the fold stretches out allowing the breast to fall out under the nipple. This is corrected with an incision in the fold.
