Our in-office lasers are no exception. The Plastic Surgery Center of PA offers the latest techniques in laser treatments to provide you with a non-invasive way to meet your goals. We offer multiple types of state-of-the-art laser technology. The most important aspect of laser treatments is knowing how to use them. All laser treatments are set by Dr. Bergqvist. Read more information below on how our laser treatments can benefit you.

V-Beam Laser

The laser at the Plastic Surgery Center of Pennsylvannia is unique to the area and was originally developed for vascular malformations, such as severe birth marks, hemangiomas and scars. It was used in major medical universities, when discovered it had many other uses. Although Dr. Bergqvist can use it for those previously mentioned conditions, it is now strongly indicated for spider veins, blemishes, rosacea, acne and even fine lines. It helps scars and fine lines by inducing new collagen production and targets veins by breaking down the vein and is then reabsorbed by the body.

There is no prep needed once the Doctor decides in which way you will utilize it. You will simply cover your eyes with protective goggles and then they will target those areas. Since, this machine has cryogen released at the same time the laser is targeted, there is little to no pain. Some areas of the body require several visits, some will not. At times, the spider veins on the legs leave tiny bruises for several weeks and zones on the face may leave red marks for a couple of days. However, the results are worth it!

The V-Beam laser can be used for:

  • Laser Vein Removal - Face and legs
  • Rosacea
  • Scars
  • Warts
  • Stretch Marks
  • Port Wine Stains
  • Hemangiomas

MedLite C6 YAG Laser

The Plastic Surgery Center of PA is proud to also offer patients the advanced MedLite C6 YAG Laser for skin rejuvenation, tattoo removal, hair, spot removal and more. This C6 laser is considered to be one of the safest and fastest lasers for cosmetic use today.

For hair removal, the Medlite lasers use short pulses, decreasing the risk of side effects due to the low heat and light exposure to the skin. Other hair removal lasers use the heat from much longer laser pulses to destroy the hair follicles. The MedLite laser can easily and safely be used with much less of a chance of blistering, burning, scarring or changing the pigmentation of the skin.

In the past, tattoo removal techniques have left behind scars in place of the tattoo. Now, with the MedLite Q-Switched laser, you tattoo can significantly be lightened or completely removed with minimal discomfort and scarring. The MedLite laser can be implemented on a wide variety of tattoo inks, and in many cases, your tattoo will completely disappear. It is typical that greater than 95% fading of the tattoo may be accomplished. It is important to know that the color and type of tattoo ink may affect the ability to fade completely, so it is impossible to completely predict how much your tattoo will fade.

The Medlite laser can also be used effectively for restoring your skin's natural beauty. Age spots, freckles, birthmarks and unwanted pigmentation are no problem for this laser. Call us today to find out how our lasers can work for you!
